Casa Ferrán

Casa Ferrán is a modernist building on Nueva Street in Teruel with seven levels that include a basement, ground floor, mezzanine, three upper floors, and an attic. The structure maintains its original marble wall paneling and coffered ceilings throughout its interior.

The building was constructed in 1910 by Pablo Monguió and represented the arrival of full modernist architecture in the city. Its completion showed that new design ideas could take root even in this provincial Spanish town.

The facade displays decorative elements with plant motifs and flowing lines that reflect how the local wealthy class wanted their homes to look in the early 1900s. These ornamental details shape how the building appears and feels when you walk past it today.

The building sits at the corner of Nueva, Laureano, and El Salvador streets, making it easy to spot and view from multiple angles. Its central location means you can see it conveniently while walking through the old town.

A large chamfered bay window at the building's corner serves as the main architectural focal point. This distinctive feature makes the structure recognizable from a distance and gives it visual character.
