Casa de Blas Infante, Biographical museum and cultural heritage site in Coria del Río, Spain.
Casa de Blas Infante is a residential house in Andalusian style in Coria del Río, situated on a hill between two villages and overlooking the Guadalquivir River. The architecture displays Mudéjar elements and now houses a collection of books, magazines, and manuscripts from the previous resident's personal library.
The house was built in 1931 and served as a residence for its namesake from that point forward. The location became tragically significant when its resident was arrested in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War and later executed.
The house is named after its most influential resident, who shaped the identity of an entire region. Visitors can see today how this place remains connected to the development of Andalusian consciousness.
The museum can be visited on weekday and Saturday afternoons as well as weekend mornings, with varying hours throughout the week. The hillside location requires some effort climbing up, but the elevation provides good views of the surrounding landscape.
The dining room still displays original wall paintings that were carefully restored by specialists. These artistic details offer a rare glimpse into the interior decoration style of the period.
