Chaparro de la Vega, Oak tree in Coripe, Spain.

The Chaparro de la Vega extends its branches to a height of 13 meters with a crown diameter of 30 meters in the Sierra Sur region.

The oak tree, over 400 years old, received recognition as a Natural Monument by the Andalusian government in November 2001 for its ecological significance.

The tree serves as a central gathering point for the Pilgrimage of Fatima celebrations in May, where local residents participate in traditional festivities.

Visitors can reach the tree from Coripe Station by following the road between the village and Algodonales, with options for walking or cycling.

In 2024, the Chaparro de la Vega received 3,715 votes to earn the title of most beautiful tree in Spain through a national competition.
