El Escobonal

El Escobonal stands at 503 meters above sea level and extends across the Agache region of Tenerife, surrounded by volcanic formations and natural landscapes.

The settlement received its name from the abundant local plant species Chamaecytisus proliferus, which grows naturally throughout the mountainous terrain of the area.

The village celebrates its main festivities in March honoring Saint Joseph and in August with processions, traditional dances, and firework displays.

The community of 897 residents maintains essential facilities including a parish church, a primary school, a sports center, and a cultural space called La Bóveda.

The Tagoror Cultural Agache serves as the central hub for knowledge and heritage preservation, housing both a library and a museum within its premises.
