Gallecs

Gallecs is a protected natural area spanning around 702 hectares of Mediterranean landscape with grasslands, woodlands, and farmland. The terrain sits at an elevation of 65 meters and preserves a mosaic of forest and agricultural fields that together define the character of this place.

The area was designated as a protected natural space by the Spanish government in 2009 to maintain ecological balance near Barcelona's urban zones. This protection status was a response to the need to preserve remaining natural areas from urban expansion.
