Iglesia de San Juan Bautista, Catholic church in La Palma del Condado, Spain
The San Juan Bautista church features three naves, a central dome over the crossing, and white-coated walls with undulating architectural lines.
After the 1755 Lisbon earthquake destroyed the original structure, architect Pedro de San Martin designed the new church, completed by Pedro de Silva in 1776.
The church follows Spanish Baroque architecture with its decorative brickwork portal, Doric columns, and a bell tower adorned with blue and white geometric tiles.
Regular masses take place at 8:00 AM at Hermanas de la Cruz and at 8:00 PM at the main church, with additional Sunday services throughout the day.
The left-side tower displays an intricate blend of architectural elements, including a stylized bell chamber and geometric ceramic patterns in blue and white.
