Iglesia de San Julián y Santa Basilisa

The church features three naves of equal height with a polygonal apse and a square tower that rises at the western end of the building.

Built in the 16th century, the church underwent major reconstruction in 1629 and was rebuilt between 1685 and 1690 under Archbishop Juan Fernández de Isla's direction.

The interior contains a polychrome altarpiece from the 17th century depicting scenes from the Virgin Mary's life and important biblical events.

The church received cultural heritage status in April 2002 and underwent restoration works in 2010 to preserve its architectural elements.

The building combines circular pillars with Tuscan capitals and ribbed vaults, representing a distinctive example of hall church architecture in Cantabria.
