Playa de Cuberris

Playa de Cuberris is a beach along the Cantabrian coast with about 250 meters of sand bordered by rocky cliffs where waves roll in steadily. At low tide, the exposed seafloor reveals pools and small caves that add to the natural character of the shoreline.

This shore has been central to life in Bareyo for centuries, shaped by the relationship between residents and the sea. Maritime practices developed here have endured and continue to influence the community and its connection to coastal living.

Fishing remains visible here through the presence of local boats and equipment along the shore, connecting visitors to the working maritime character of this coastal community.

The beach has showers, footwash stations, trash bins, and a visitor information office close to free parking. Check tide conditions before your visit since the usable beach area changes noticeably depending on whether the tide is high or low.

Low tide roughly doubles the usable beach area, opening up hidden zones for exploration. Visitors can access small rock caves that remain submerged at high water, revealing unexpected features along the coastline.
