Playa de Langre, Beach in Ribamontán al Mar, Spain.
Playa de Langre is a sandy beach along the Cantabrian coast framed by high limestone cliffs. Rock formations divide the shore into distinct sections with different characteristics.
This beach formed through millennia of coastal erosion that shaped the limestone cliffs and created the current shoreline. The rock formations still show traces of this natural reshaping process.
The western section serves as a longstanding naturist area where visitors practice nude bathing following local customs. This part of the shore has developed its own community of regular visitors over the decades.
Access to the beach is via stairs descending from the parking area. Lifeguards are present during summer months to assist swimmers.
The beach is known for its wave-rich conditions that draw surfers to the larger section. This natural wave formation makes it a special spot on the Cantabrian coast.
