The beach extends 250 meters along the Península de la Magdalena, featuring golden sand and waters from the bay of Santander.
The beach received its name from international students at Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo who introduced bikini wearing at this location during the 1960s.
The location near Palace of Magdalena connects visitors to northern Spain's maritime traditions through regular horse competitions on the shoreline.
