Tower of Cabrahigo, Medieval fortified tower in Isla, Spain
The Tower of Cabrahigo rises 12 meters high with a rectangular base measuring 11 meters by 9 meters, featuring masonry walls and stone corners.
Built during the 14th or 15th century, the tower belonged to the Velarde family, whose member received the title of Constable of Castile in 1473.
The structure stands as part of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its historical importance.
Located on a hill with strategic views, the tower contains four floors topped with battlements and displays minimal window openings in its stone walls.
The building underwent modifications during the Catholic Monarchs' reign, when one of its few windows was added following the territory's pacification period.
