Serra Perenxisa

Serra Perenxisa is a protected mountain range in the Valencian Community that rises about 329 meters and covers natural woodland terrain. The site forms part of the Iberian mountain system and contains diverse habitats with native plant species and rock formations.

The area received protection status in 2006 when the Spanish government designated it as a municipal natural preserve. This official recognition aimed to safeguard the natural habitats and resources found within its boundaries.

Local environmental organizations conduct educational programs throughout the year, teaching visitors about the native plant species and geological formations of the region.

Several marked trails available for walking and cycling with varying difficulty levels are found throughout the area. Parking facilities are located at the main entry points, and visiting during cooler hours offers the most comfortable experience.

From its highest points, visitors look out across the surrounding landscape toward the Mediterranean coast to the east. This vantage point connects inland views with distant coastal horizons and reveals the region's geographic diversity.
