The Museo Histórico de Sagunto exhibits archaeological findings from the region, including Bronze Age ceramics, Iberian vases, and Roman architectural elements.
The museum's origins trace back to 1787 when Dr. Palos established a space called 'Cuarto de les Pedres' in Casa de la Vila for Iberian inscriptions.
The collection includes a limestone Iberian bull sculpture from the 4th century BC, the Bacchic Hermes statue, and a head attributed to Diana.
Located at Calle del Castillo 23, the museum maintains rotating exhibitions across two floors, with archaeological history on the ground level.
The museum building, Casa del Mestre Peña, contains archaeological structures from Ibero-Roman times and remains of an 11th-century Islamic cemetery.
