Puente del Poniente, Valladolid, Arch bridge in Valladolid, Spain

The Puente del Poniente stretches 99 meters across the Pisuerga River with three reinforced concrete arches and three semicircular arches on each bank.

Municipal engineer Luis Díaz-Caneja Pando designed this bridge in 1950, and its construction began in 1957, marking a period of infrastructure development in Valladolid.

Originally named after Colonel José González Regueral, the bridge received its current name Puente del Poniente in 2013, following local residents' preferences.

The bridge connects Isabel la Católica promenade and Poniente Gardens with Vicente Mortes Avenue in the Huerta del Rey district of Valladolid.

The structure features three ribbed concrete arches spanning 28 meters each, supported by concrete pillars covered with masonry and stonework.
