Burgos Museum, Archaeological museum in Burgos, Spain.
The Museum of Burgos occupies two 16th-century palaces, displaying archaeological findings and fine arts collections across multiple exhibition halls and galleries.
Founded in 1846, the museum relocated several times before settling in Casa de Miranda in 1955, where it preserves artifacts from prehistoric Atapuerca to medieval times.
The Fine Arts section presents collections from pre-Romanesque to 20th century works, including paintings by regional artists and Renaissance masterworks from different periods.
From October through June, visitors can explore the museum Tuesday to Saturday between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with free admission during weekends.
The museum contains a Roman mosaic depicting Atalanta and Meleager hunting a boar, discovered in Cardeñajimeno, representing regional archaeological discoveries.
