Enrique Tierno Galván Park, Public park in Arganzuela district, Madrid, Spain.

Enrique Tierno Galván Park is a large green space spanning 45 hectares with three interconnected ponds, bridges, and pathways for walking and cycling. The site also includes sports facilities and houses the Madrid Planetarium with astronomical shows.

The park opened in 1986 and takes its name from Enrique Tierno Galván, a Madrid mayor who championed the creation of public green spaces. This project reflected the city's push to provide more outdoor recreation areas for residents.

The Greek-style amphitheater here hosts performances throughout the year, serving as a gathering place where locals and visitors experience theater and music outdoors.

The park is accessible via Arganzuela-Planetario or Méndez Álvaro metro stations on Line 6, with several entry points around the perimeter. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended since the grounds cover a large area with multiple zones to explore.

The planetarium here displays meteorite collections and cosmic objects that visitors can examine up close, bringing space exploration to life in a tangible way. Few visitors realize this hands-on aspect of the facility complements the show experience.
