Parque de Polvoranca, Nature park in Fuenlabrada, Spain
The Polvoranca Park spans 150 hectares of green space with two lakes, multiple gardens, and diverse ecosystems between Alcorcón, Fuenlabrada, and Leganés municipalities.
The medieval village of Polvoranca, located within the current park grounds, was absorbed by Leganés in 1849, leaving only the ruins of San Pedro Church.
The Environmental Education Center organizes workshops, exhibitions, guided tours, and events focused on nature education and sustainability for schools and families.
Visitors can access the park via metro lines, bus services from Madrid and Fuenlabrada, with parking facilities available for those arriving by car.
The Mari Pascuala Lake, an eight-hectare artificial water body, maintains consistent water levels through an advanced waterproofing system, even during drought periods.
