The 18th-century sanctuary was discovered when a shepherdess from Valljunquera found a statue of the Virgin Mary in a cave at this location.
The sanctuary features a combination of Ionic and Corinthian architectural orders, with a triangular pediment and barrel vaulting displaying regional construction techniques.
The monument maintains its structural walls despite being partially in ruins, and visitors can observe the original three-nave layout and flat chancel design.
The hospitality building spans four floors in a rectangular configuration, constructed entirely from stone blocks that form the remaining load-bearing walls.
