The Plaiaundi ecological park encompasses 23.4 hectares of wetlands, lakes, forests, and meadows along the Bidasoa estuary at Txingudi bay.

Since 1998, this natural space has undergone extensive restoration work to recreate the original wetland conditions that existed before human intervention.

The Txingudiko Ekoetxea interpretation center provides educational programs about wetland ecosystems and their role in maintaining regional biodiversity.

Visitors can access multiple observation points connected by a 2-kilometer trail system, featuring 17 information panels explaining the local environment.

The park functions as a crucial stopover point for migratory birds traveling 2,100 kilometers between Amsterdam and Doñana National Park.
