Museo Romano Oiasso

The Museo Romano Oiasso displays Roman artifacts found in the Bay of Biscay region, including pottery, coins, and tools from ancient settlements.

Founded in 2006, this institution preserves archaeological findings from Oiasso, a Roman settlement that operated as a major trading post in northern Spain.

The museum organizes the International Archaeological Film Festival, presenting thirty films about archaeological discoveries and ancient civilizations each November.

The facility provides guided tours to the Santa Elena hermitage and Roman necropolis, allowing visitors to examine archaeological sites in their original locations.

Visitors can explore the Irugurutzeta mining complex near the museum, which contains Roman-era galleries and lime calcination ovens from ancient mineral extraction operations.
