The home was built between 1909 and 1919 during Sueca's rapid growth after receiving city status in January 1899. This nursing facility developed as part of the town's expansion during that period.
The building comes from architect Buenaventura Ferrando Castells, who studied in Madrid and shaped Sueca's architectural character. His work shows how modern design influenced local construction practices.
The building is organized with several independent pavilions that create an efficient layout and make it easy to navigate the complex. The central arrangement helps visitors understand how the different areas connect.
The entrance wall displays asymmetrical brick pillars of different heights, which are typical of Valencian Art Nouveau design. This irregular arrangement is a defining feature of the regional architectural style.
