O Invernadeiro Natural Park, Natural park in Vilariño de Conso, Spain
O Invernadeiro Natural Park covers 5,722 hectares of mountainous terrain with elevations reaching 1,500 meters in the Macizo Central region of Ourense.
The park territory remained undivided since medieval times, serving as grazing and hunting grounds until its designation as a natural park in 1997.
Local shepherds maintain traditional livestock practices in designated areas of the park, continuing centuries-old mountain agriculture methods.
Visitors must obtain prior permission from provincial authorities in Ourense, with access limited to 30 people per day through six designated walking routes.
The park houses a research station with 28 beds specifically reserved for scientists and students conducting environmental studies of local flora and fauna.
