Fort del Cap Enderrocat

Fort del Cap Enderrocat sits on limestone cliffs above the water, featuring defensive walls that range from 1 to 4 meters thick. The site includes an extensive network of ammunition storage rooms and gun positions spread across its grounds.

Construction started in 1889 to work with San Carlos Fort in defending Palma Bay from naval threats. This dual-fort strategy allowed them to control the waters and protect the region more effectively.

The structure reflects military design from the late 1800s, showing how engineers planned defenses to protect shipping routes. Walking through the fort, you see how its thick walls and cliff location made it a key position for controlling the bay.
