Cala Gamba

Cala Gamba is a small sandy beach stretching about 70 meters along the coast with a width of roughly 3 meters and a natural mix of sand and stones near the waterline. It sits at the edge of a sheltered harbor where small boats rest and fishing activities take place.

The beach area developed after Palma's defensive walls were removed in the 19th century, allowing new communities to settle along the coast. This change led to the growth of maritime activities and the use of natural coves like this one as working harbors.

This small beach forms part of the local boating culture, with sailing enthusiasts regularly using the adjacent harbor for their activities. Visitors can observe how the waterfront serves as a gathering place for people interested in maritime pursuits.

The beach has parking and restaurants nearby, making it easy to grab food and find a place to leave your car. There are no lifeguards or shower facilities here, so come prepared and be mindful of your own safety in the water.

A pedestrian walkway connects the beach to designated seating areas overlooking the harbor and its anchored boats. This path lets visitors linger while watching the boats sway with the tide and observing daily harbor activities.
