The Sant Miquel church features a single nave with a flat header, interior buttresses, and pointed arches supporting a wooden coffered ceiling.
In 1307 and 1370, the church hosted the General Court of Catalonia and served as a gathering place for Parliament during the interregnum period.
The ceiling displays geometric patterns, plant motifs, zoomorphic figures, human representations, and heraldic symbols painted with inorganic pigments through specific techniques.
The church interior measures 13 meters wide, 31.5 meters long, and 11 meters high, with guided tours available to explore its architecture and history.
Five private chapels were added between the 14th and 15th centuries, replacing original earthen walls with stone masonry structures.
