The recreational complex spread across 10 hectares on Mount Ganguren slopes included 28 attractions, pyramidal structures, and an amphitheater for 4,800 spectators.

Established by the Provincial Council of Biscay and private partners, the park opened in September 1974 and received 447,000 visitors during its first operational year.

The park's amphitheater hosted performances by Spanish music stars including Alaska, Miguel Bosé, Mocedades, and Mecano throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

The facility closed in 1990 due to declining attendance, with visitor numbers dropping from 450,000 to 120,000, leading to financial losses of 200 million pesetas.

The metallic pyramids remained visible from neighboring municipalities until 2018, when the Provincial Council demolished the entire complex after 28 years of abandonment.
