The natural park spans 6,451 hectares across two municipalities, featuring deep gorges, steep mountains, fertile valleys, and peaks reaching 1,100 meters in elevation.
The establishment of Chera-Sot de Chera Natural Park in January 2007 marked the creation of the first geological park in Valencia Region.
The municipalities of Chera and Sot de Chera maintain traditional agricultural practices, including the cultivation of ancient olive trees across the protected landscape.
Visitors can access multiple trails leading to the Buseo reservoir, the river Sot, and Cueva Negra, with parking areas and information centers available.
The park's graben formation contains specific rock layers that provide geologists with exceptional opportunities to study millions of years of geological processes.
