Pinedo Beach, Valencia, Golden sand beach in Valencia, Spain.
Pinedo Beach is a long sandy shore on the Mediterranean coast in the southern part of Valencia, separated from the inland area by dunes and low-growing vegetation. Behind the beach, the land opens into the fields and orchards of the Valencian huerta.
The area around Pinedo was long shaped by farming and formed the southern edge of Valencia's urban territory. As the port expanded and infrastructure developed through the 20th century, the shoreline gradually shifted into a recreational space for residents.
Pinedo sits south of Valencia's port and draws many locals who prefer its quieter sections over the more crowded central beaches. The stretch backed by dunes and low vegetation gives it a more natural look than most city beaches.
The beach is reachable by bike along coastal paths, and there are parking areas on site including spaces for visitors with limited mobility. The shore is long enough that walking a bit further from the main access points usually leads to less crowded spots, even on busy days.
Pinedo is one of the few beaches near Valencia that has both a dedicated dog-friendly section and a naturist area. These two zones sit side by side, making it one of the more open-use stretches of coastline in the area.
