Casa Torre de Salazar

Casa Torre de Salazar is a stone tower house with Gothic architectural features including pointed arches and ribbed vaults throughout its design. The building contains exhibition halls, museum spaces, and dining facilities spread across multiple levels.

The tower was built in 1380 as a residence for the Salazar family and played an important role in the region for centuries. It was destroyed in 1934 but underwent major reconstruction between 1958 and 1959.

The tower now serves as a museum displaying documents and objects that tell the story of Portugalete and the Salazar family's role in the region. Visitors get a sense of how this family shaped local life over centuries.
