The rectangular building features a ground floor with semi-circular arches and three upper levels, flanked by two large towers with pyramidal roofs.
The site dates back to 1293 when it was known as Can Barba, later transforming through various names including Can Maduixer, Mas Sala, and Viver.
Architect Josep Domènech i Mansana designed this Cultural Asset of Local Interest between 1911 and 1929, incorporating classical and symmetrical elements.
Located 300 meters from N-150 road at kilometer 15.7, the property connects the cities of Sabadell and Terrassa under Sant Llàtzer Foundation management.
The building operated as the Verge de Montserrat tuberculosis sanatorium from 1911, expanding from thirty beds to accommodate over 1,500 patients.
