Playa de Las Viudas, Urban beach in Peniscola, Spain.

Playa de Las Viudas is a golden-sand beach on the southern coast of Peniscola's municipal area, beside Platja Sud and about half a kilometre from the port. It measures 110 metres long and 15 metres wide, with a total surface of 1,650 m². Since 2010 a pedestrian promenade and a small breakwater link it to Platja Sud, after the mouth of the Ullal de l'Estany was channelled away from the beach.

In 2010 the mouth of the Ullal de l'Estany, which had separated this beach from Platja Sud, was reformed: the stream was channelled artificially outside the beach and the two beaches were linked by a pedestrian promenade and a jetty. The beach lies on the southern coast of Peníscola, half a kilometre from the port.

The name Viudes (Catalan: les Viudes, "the widows") is the only cultural trace recorded for this beach; the sources give no legend behind it. Since the 2010 works, a pedestrian promenade and a small breakwater link it with Platja Sud, so bathers pass between the two beaches on foot.

The beach is reached either by stairs next to the barracks or via the pedestrian promenade linking it to Platja Sud. It measures 110 metres long and 15 metres wide, with a medium occupancy level.
