Parc de Can Mercader

The park spans 10.5 hectares featuring an extensive network of paths, gardens, a lake, and numerous recreational spaces arranged along the Avenue of Bananas.

Originally established as gardens for the Palace of the Merchant Accounts and Bell-place Families, the park opened to the public in 1989.

The grounds maintain their designation as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest, serving as a central location for community gatherings and artistic presentations.

Visitors have access to drinking fountains, children's play areas, exercise equipment, a restaurant, and public restrooms between 6 AM and 11 PM daily.

The park contains a miniature electric train system called trenet, providing rides through specially designed tracks across the grounds.
