Parc de Can Mercader

Parc de Can Mercader is a green space in Cornellà de Llobregat with extensive pathways, diverse gardens, a lake, and various outdoor areas distributed throughout the grounds. The landscape is organized in sections with distinct planting zones and open recreational spaces.

This space was originally created as private gardens for local merchant families' palaces in the 1800s. It opened to the public in 1989, transforming from a private estate into a community resource.

The park serves as a gathering place where the community organizes events and performances throughout the year. Visitors can observe how local residents use the grounds for celebrations and artistic presentations that reflect the area's cultural life.

The park is open from 6 AM to 11 PM daily and features drinking fountains, play areas for children, outdoor exercise equipment, and restrooms. A restaurant is located on the grounds, making it easy to spend extended time here.

A miniature electric train called the Trenet runs through the park on specially designed tracks. This little railway offers a playful way to explore the full extent of the grounds without walking.
