The Singular Building is a high-rise in Pamplona's First Expansion district composed of three connected towers supported by giant pillars. Two pentagonal residential towers of fifteen floors frame a shorter office tower, creating an unusual three-part shape.
Construction started in 1971 on military land between the moat walls and Pío XII Avenue, which Pamplona City Council acquired for urban expansion. The project emerged from a wave of innovative development that pushed the city outward during the 1970s.
The structure represents an architectural experiment from the 1970s that integrated multiple urban functions into compact spaces above the historic city walls.
The building houses residential apartments, offices, and shops connected by an innovative elevator system. The lower commercial areas are easiest to access and provide a good entry point for understanding the overall structure.
A communal garden occupies the eighth floor, hidden from street view and serving as a retreat for residents. This elevated green space remains an unexpected oasis within the dense urban setting.
