Paseo marítimo Carmen de Burgos, Pedestrian esplanade in Almería, Spain.
The 2.5-kilometer promenade extends along San Miguel, Zapillo, Térmica, and Nueva Almería beaches, featuring a 10-meter-wide walkway beside the Mediterranean Sea.
The Ministry of Public Works initiated construction in 1982, transforming the beachfront area into a completed esplanade by 1986.
In 2011, the promenade received its current name to honor Carmen de Burgos, a writer from Almería who contributed to Spanish literature.
Multiple restaurants, shops, and water fountains line the path, while controlled markets operate regularly throughout the promenade.
The 2018 installation of Manuel Domínguez sculptures, including 'El Acróbata' and 'La Tumbona', adds artistic elements to the coastal walkway.
