Casa Alegre de Sagrera

The mansion features architectural elements combining Art Nouveau and Neoclassical styles, with intricate wrought ironwork and decorative ceramic tiles throughout the structure.

Built in 1800 for textile manufacturer Joaquim de Sagrera, the house underwent substantial modifications by architects Melcior Vinyals and Josep Puig i Cadafalch in the early 1900s.

The interior rooms display original furniture and decorative elements that represent the lifestyle of Catalonian industrial bourgeoisie from the nineteenth century.

Located at Font Vella Street 29, the museum opens Wednesday through Sunday, with extended hours on weekdays from 10:00 to 20:00 and reduced hours on Sundays.

In the 1970s, local citizens and the Municipal Museum Board successfully protected the building from major alterations, preserving its original architectural features.
