The monument was inaugurated in 1999 by sculptor Francesc Anglès i Garcia to commemorate the tradition of human towers that originated in the 18th century.
The sculpture includes 219 figures within the tower structure, incorporating faces of notable Catalans such as Pau Casals, Pablo Picasso, Antoni Gaudí, and Joan Miró.
The monument remains accessible throughout the year on Rambla Nova, with optimal viewing conditions during morning hours when sunlight enhances the bronze details.
The sculpture captures a 4-level human tower at the exact moment when the top person reaches the summit, weighing twelve tons in total.
