Casa Solà-Morales

Casa Solà-Morales is a three-story residential building with a white facade and symmetrically arranged large windows adorned with fine stone ornaments. The structure merges different architectural influences into a carefully composed whole.

The building was completed in 1916 as a family residence and reflects the architectural tastes of that era. It was later recognized as a Cultural Asset of National Interest due to its role in preserving Catalonia's design heritage.

The house shows how wealthy Catalans wanted to live in the early 1900s, with open spaces and generous windows designed to bring light and air inside. Its architectural features reflect the desire to combine modern comfort with artistic ambition.

The building is located in downtown Olot and is easily visible from the street. Visitors can admire the exterior architecture and facade at any time, but it is important to check opening hours in advance if interior visits are offered.

The architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner was also known for his art museum in Barcelona, but this private residence displays his artistic approach on a smaller, more intimate scale.
