Faro de Illa Pancha

The white and red lighthouse stands 22 meters tall on a small island, connected to the mainland by a concrete bridge at the mouth of the Eo River.

The Illa Pancha lighthouse began its maritime safety operations in 1864, providing essential navigational guidance for vessels entering the Ribadeo harbor through the decades.

The lighthouse forms part of the Northern Camino pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, marking a significant point along this traditional religious path.

The lighthouse can be reached by following the coastal road from San Julian port for 1.5 kilometers past San Damian castle, with parking available nearby.

The structure features two separate light sources: the main lamp at the top and an additional beacon positioned to the left of the building.
