Fàbrica Tauler

Fàbrica Tauler is an industrial building with a rectangular footprint, two main floors and a prominent square tower at one corner. The tower features three windows on each side with semicircular arches and decorative ceramic tiles, while the ground level now houses retail spaces that have replaced its original industrial function.

The building was constructed in 1893 as a cork-processing facility during a period of industrial expansion along the Catalan coast. Its establishment reflected the region's shift toward manufacturing and industrial production that transformed local communities during the late 1800s.

The building reflects the pride in local craftsmanship through its decorative design choices typical of Catalan Modernisme, expressing the region's industrial success of that era. Its architectural style embodied the values of skilled work and community identity that defined the coastal economy.
