Preventori de la Savinosa

The medical complex stretches across 77,000 square meters between Rabasada and Sabinosa beaches, featuring multiple pavilions, dormitories, and infirmaries.

The facility operated as a tuberculosis preventorium from 1932 to 1936, then transformed into a military hospital during the Spanish Civil War.

The preventorium received hundreds of healthy children from various Spanish regions who stayed for periods of three to six months.

The complex includes two infirmaries, an admission pavilion, a central building, four school colonies, a dining room, and a gatehouse.

During the late 1960s, the buildings provided shelter for children affected by floods in Valencia and later for those displaced by the Francolí River overflow.
