Palace of Viceroy Laserna, Neoclassical palace in historic center, Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.

The Palace of Viceroy Laserna stands in the heart of Jerez and blends Moorish foundations with neoclassical renovations from the 18th century. The building showcases a mix of architectural styles with furnished rooms and manicured outdoor areas.

The building has roots in Arab structures but underwent significant transformation in the 18th century. This renovation created the residence of José de la Serna, who served as the last Viceroy of Peru.

The palace served as a residence for a prominent family across generations and displays personal furnishings from their everyday lives. These rooms reflect how a powerful household lived between Spain and the Americas.

The palace welcomes visitors through guided tours that display its rooms and gardens with explanation. It helps to check tour schedules in advance since access is only by guided visit.

Part of the palace grounds once held a 17th-century theater with an entrance on Santa Isabel Street. This historic stage was later converted into garden space, erasing a piece of the city's past entertainment life.
