Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol

Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol is a late Gothic church in Arcos de la Frontera featuring a single nave, six lateral chapels, and a polygonal apse. The interior is dominated by a substantial 16th-century retablo that serves as the focal point of the sacred space.

Construction began in the 14th century on the site of an Almohad fortress, with the main structure completed during the 16th century. This replacement shows how the Christian community repurposed the earlier Muslim fortification as a foundation for religious life.
