El Rincón

El Rincón is a golden sand beach along the Mediterranean coast with shallow, clear waters suitable for swimming and wading. The sandy strip extends for several hundred meters, creating a sheltered bathing area backed by low terrain.

This beach developed as part of the Mediterranean coast's opening to tourism in the 1960s, transforming the area from a remote shoreline. That era of growth brought infrastructure and visitors to what was previously an undeveloped part of the coast.

Local residents gather at El Rincón during summer evenings for traditional Spanish activities, including sunset walks and beach volleyball matches.

The beach is easily accessible on foot with gradual shallow water entry suitable for beginners and families. The gentle slope allows visitors to wade in slowly and makes swimming comfortable for all levels.

Nearby are the Erosiones de Bolnuevo, where wind and water have carved limestone into strange shapes over millions of years. These unusual rock formations create an interesting contrast just beyond the gentle sandy beach.
