El Rihuete

El Rihuete is a roughly 700-meter stretch of coastline with fine golden sand about 20 meters wide on the Mediterranean Sea. The clear water and gentle slope into the sea make it accessible for swimmers of all levels.

This area was developed as a beach destination in the latter half of the 20th century and became a key attraction for the Murcia region. Infrastructure gradually expanded to accommodate increasing visitor numbers.

The promenade serves as a meeting point where locals walk and gather, particularly during cooler hours of the day. Small food vendors and beach bars create a social hub for the surrounding community.

The beach has restrooms, showers, and lifeguards during the swimming season. Parking is located nearby, making access straightforward.

The beach holds Blue Flag certification, which means it meets strict standards for water quality and environmental care. This is an independently verified mark of the site's good upkeep and cleanliness.
