Cala Reona

Cala Reona is a golden sand beach along the Costa Cálida near Cartagena with clear Mediterranean waters and moderate waves. The shoreline runs approximately 200 meters and is framed by surrounding mountains.

The area has served as a fishing ground for Mediterranean communities since ancient times. Over centuries, the cove remained an important coastal refuge for inhabitants of the Cartagena region.

Many residents of Murcia gather at this beach during summer weekends to share meals and engage in traditional Spanish beach activities.

Parking for up to 100 vehicles is available at the site, with toilets, showers, and sunbed rentals during summer months. The beach is easy to reach and works well for a half-day visit or a relaxing day by the water.

The waters off Cala Reona support diverse marine ecosystems that draw snorkelers and underwater photographers throughout the summer swimming season. This makes the location more than just a swimming beach for casual visitors.
