El Marenyet

El Marenyet is a wide sandy beach along the Mediterranean coast near Cullera, stretching for 1.8 kilometers with fine light sand and gentle waves. The shore is bordered by low concrete structures and small houses that give the place its semi-urban character.

The beach developed through informal settlement expansion during the 20th century, as locals built small houses along the coast. This gradual construction transformed a natural area into a residential beach community while fishing remained a central activity.

The beach serves as a gathering place for locals who swim, relax, and fish in the shallow waters. The nearby fishing villages and casual waterfront cafes show how the community maintains a strong connection to the coast in their daily routines.

The beach has showers, toilets, and parking facilities near the entry points, making it easy to spend time here. Several restaurants and casual cafes are within walking distance from the shore, offering food and drinks with views of the water.

Protective piers and rock formations in shallow coves create calm water pools where children and less experienced swimmers can safely play. These quiet areas set this beach apart from most other spots along the Valencia coast.
