Museo de las Momias de Quinto

The Museo de las Momias de Quinto displays fifteen naturally preserved bodies from the 18th and 19th centuries inside a medieval church building.

The museum opened in 2018 following excavations that began in 2011, uncovering numerous burials dating from the church's construction until 1831.

The collection includes funeral items such as coffins, rosaries, bracelets, buttons, pins, crucifixes, and coins that document burial practices of past centuries.

The museum operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with general admission at 7 euros and reduced rates of 5 euros for seniors and children.

The bodies maintain exceptional preservation due to the underground conditions of the former Church of Assumption, known locally as El Piquete.
