Hotel Añaza, building in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain
Hotel Añaza is an abandoned hotel in Acorán in northern Tenerife whose construction started in the 1970s but was never completed. The large concrete structure with multiple floors displays deep cracks, broken windows, and debris scattered throughout the empty interior spaces.
A German businessman purchased the land in 1973 and began construction in 1974 without proper permits and insufficient funding. The builder disappeared in 1975 when money ran out, leaving the project incomplete for nearly 50 years.
The site is surrounded by a high metal fence and entry is dangerous due to unstable floors, protruding concrete, and missing safety barriers. The building is visible from outside but entering is unsafe and not recommended.
The site has attracted considerable attention from parkour jumpers and photographers in recent years who perform risky leaps between balconies and set off flares from the roof. These dangerous activities have resulted in serious incidents including fatal accidents and rescue operations.
