Pikkukili, Theme park and zoo in Lieksa, Finland
Pikkukili, also known as Pikkukilin Elämyspuisto, is a family theme park and zoo in Lieksa, Finland. The site combines a children's play area, a lake beach, a water trampoline, and a zoo section where visitors can see animals ranging from small rodents to llamas.
Pikkukili started as a small local project and grew over time into a recognized family destination in the Lieksa area. It has been run by community members who expanded it step by step.
The name Pikkukilin Elämyspuisto means roughly 'little Kiili adventure park' in Finnish. The park draws mostly local families from the Lieksa area, and on summer days it has the feel of a neighborhood gathering spot rather than a tourist destination.
The paths across the site are flat and easy to walk, making the whole area accessible even with a stroller or wheelchair. The park operates mainly in summer, so visiting during the warmer months is the best approach.
In summer the park is home to over 200 animals, which is a surprisingly large number for a site of this size. Among them are llamas, an unexpected sight for a small family park in northern Finland.
