Urho Kekkosen patsas, Bronze memorial statue in Raahe, Finland
The bronze statue depicts President Urho Kekkonen standing with his left hand in his pocket and right hand on his chest in Rantapuisto Park.
The memorial honors President Urho Kekkonen, who served from 1956 to 1982 and influenced the establishment of the Rautaruukki steel factory in Raahe.
The statue, unveiled in 2008, stands opposite to the Town Hall on Rantakatu Street, representing Finnish political leadership and regional development.
Visitors can reach the memorial by walking along Rantakatu Street, where information plaques provide details about Kekkonen's contributions to Finland.
Small replicas of the statue, known as 'Little Urkkis,' were sold to fund the creation of this memorial designed by sculptor Matti Peltokangas.
